In 2021, during a visit to Masakona Farm in Tshimbupfe, Shoni discovered an abundance of freshly harvested peppers. Rather than letting them go to waste, she drew inspiration from traditional recipes taught by her grandmother, the late Masakona Maiwashe.
Experimenting in the kitchen led to a unique, fiery sauce that quickly became a family favorite — and soon after, a brand was born: Sakkies Chilli Sauce.
